Man City Have Transfer Replacement Plan for Kevin De Bruyne As £120m Target 'Rejects' Contract

The Belgian's future at the Etihad is uncertain after rejecting a new deal.

Manchester City are lining up potential replacements for Kevin De Bruyne as the Belgian's future at the Etihad Stadium remains uncertain.

De Bruyne, 31, has been a key player for City since joining from Wolfsburg in 2015, but his current contract expires in 2025 and he has yet to agree to an extension.

According to reports, De Bruyne has rejected City's latest offer of a new deal, which would have made him one of the highest-paid players in the Premier League.

Jude Bellingham is reportedly City's top target to replace De Bruyne.

If De Bruyne does leave, City are likely to move for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham. The 19-year-old is one of the most highly-rated young players in the world and has been linked with a move to the Etihad for some time.

Bellingham is a box-to-box midfielder who can play in a variety of positions, including central midfield, attacking midfield, and even on the wing.

He has been capped 15 times by England and was part of the squad that reached the quarter-finals of the 2022 World Cup.

Other potential replacements for De Bruyne include Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez.

If City are unable to sign Bellingham, they could turn their attention to Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Moises Caicedo or Benfica's Enzo Fernandez.

Caicedo, 21, is a defensive midfielder who has been linked with a move to Arsenal and Chelsea in recent months.

Fernandez, 22, is a more attacking midfielder who has been capped four times by Argentina. He was part of the Argentina squad that won the 2022 World Cup.
